Carlos Alcaraz Garfia image complete

Updated: Feb 5

I finished drawing Carlos Alcaraz Garfia, one of the top tennis players in the world. He could potentially compete at their peak at the same level as Nadal, Federer, and Djokovic. Now, he is a great role model for sports professionals.

I used only vectors to draw this image.

Software: Affinity Designer 2

Colors:

  • t-shirt: E7AE00

  • shorts: D72222

  • court: 516E5A, 3D5265 - traditional colors of U.S. Open

By the way, color science is essential in New York. In 2005, the U.S. Open adopted a blue in-bounds court color, nearly opposite the yellow tennis ball on the color wheel, enhancing visibility. This "U.S. Open Blue" is trademarked and widely requested in new courts.

Additionally, the U.S. Open uses "U.S. Open Green" (Pantone 357U) with built-in yellow to minimize contrast with the ball. These colors provide instant recognition for viewers.
